Someone put him up to saying it. And it was a pretty good dig, but he's a dumbass. He couldn't cover a penny with his shoe, but he can talk trash. No matter. What's the dumb part of it all is that Marcel was invited by a friend to hang out for a quick summer vacation, saw it was a trap, and came back. That sounds pretty responsible. Bates only says that crap because he would never be invited to do anything with high profile people, but at least he gets plenty of steaks and money by "keepin down home cuz."

Yeah this thread is about Josh Bynes, not Daren Bates.. And Bynes is a LB, preseason 1st team All-SEC

But that's rediculous...he saw it was a trap and came back. I don't know what is culpability is, but i find it hard to believe your version is how it went down.

Then why didn't he report it to his coach immediately rather than keep quiet about it until it came out in the probe at UNC?
