The NCAA has been all over the place lately.

Florida is internally investigating what sources described as an allegation that a representative of an agent paid Pouncey $100,000 between the Gators' loss to Alabama in the Southeastern Conference championship game to Alabama and their season-ending Sugar Bowl victory over Cincinnati. Florida apprised the NCAA of the allegation after it became aware of it.

So...maybe they didn't win the Sugar Bowl?

If by 'big trouble' you mean they will get a letter of reprimand 6 years down the road, then you are correct.

Sounds like situations like so cal are common and now more schools are becoming more compliant and self reporting because they saw how bad the ncaa can frick your world up.

Unless they cover it up I think you're right
If they go the obstructionist route then there's danger

Is it a coincidence that Meyer took leave during the time Pouncey was paid the money?

North Carolina, South Carolina, and now Florida.
I feel a hammer coming down for UNC and Butch Davis.
UF and SC on the other hand the case doesn't seem very serious. I hope they don't get hammered because they're SEC schools.

Florida's compliance office made the NCAA aware of it. Nothing to see here.
