This post is so ignorant I don't even know where to begin dissecting it. I'll start at the top.

quote:

Donnan was better in his last 4 years than Richt has been in his last 4.

Donnan averaged 8.75 wins his last 4 years (10,9,8,8). Richt has averaged 9.5 (9,11,10,8) This stretch for Richt includes his 2 worst years as a coach, while Donnan's are some of his best. Donnan went 5-6 his first year, Richt went 8-4.

quote:

Donnan should have never been fired

WHAT!? WHY NOT!? What did he ever win? Oh yeah, he won 10 games ONCE and won the outback bowl. Richt has at least WON something of substance.

quote:

Richt waltzed in and with the help of BVG and Donnan's recruits had some success.

Part of being a "competent" head coach, as you like to say, is surrounding yourself with good coaches. Who exactly do you think HIRED van gorder?

Greatest Ever? Not over the last 4 years Tonto

WHEW! Good thing that coaches aren't evaluated based on 4 year periods. People usually use, ya know, their whole careers.

You use UT, UF, and UK in your argument.

You mention UT, UF, and UK in your argument.

Richt against UT: 5-4 Donnan: 1-4
Richt against UF: 2-7 Donnan: 1-4
Richt against UK: 7-2 Donnan: 5-0

Let's keep going against 2 main rivals:

Richt against GT: 8-1 Donnan: 2-3..unacceptable
Richt against AU: 6-3 Donnan: 2-3

I don't feel like I even need to tell you about richt's non-conference record or record on the road. Anyone who thinks Donnan was a better coach than Richt is a flat out retard. And it doesn't make it different that you only try to use select years. 4 years, gimme a F'n break.

Try doing the percentages. Richt coached more games in 4 years than Donnan did in 4 so it makes since he won more games.

His first year was damage control from the wreck Goff left him. He didn't get much of a chnce to put his stamp on the program. Richt can thank him for Greene, Pollack and every other start that turned our program around in 2002. He should have had 2 more years to make it or break it.

CMR's initial hires were awesome and I said so many times. He fricked up when he thought he could develop coaches and promote from within. We all saw how that worked out.

Actually Donnan was. Yeah it was 5 years.

Donnan may very well still be our coach if Jasper Sanks is not called for the Non-Fumble.

Also Donnan coached agianst O'Leary who was a much better coach against UGA than Gailey. He is 1-1 against CPJ at GT.

Richt's ship has sailed my friend. All we can do is sit back and watch the fate of Fat Phil Fulmer played out all over again.
