Gimmick Pearl has worn off. 5-straight 20 wins wasn’t good enough for Green why should it be for Pearl. Get Tobias Harris in here and run him out of town so we can get someone who knows how to coach Xs and Os in here. Congrats on the win BTW

Take him. You’ll love him for 3-years before he shows he can’t get over the hump. If 20-win seasons, very good but not UK cheating good recruiting, a piss poor staff, and awful Xs and Os are good enough you’ll love him.

Auburn just doesn't give a frick about basketball. The fans don't it seems anyway. And yall have a coach that can't recruit so he isn't doing himself any favors. Atleast Trent can get players (besides win the SEC) to keep people on his side for this down year.

dude Auburn would take Pearl in a heartbeat. We will never get over the hump? We can't even get to the the hump from where we are right now.

He’s gotten us to the dance every year, but we cannot get past the Sweet 16 to save our life. We lead Greg Oden and Ohio State by 20 at halftime of the Sweet 16 and we lose. That’s when I began to question him. After that he led our 31 win team to a Sweet 16 and has led two Top 20 teams to first or second round exits. I know the guy and he’s a good enough guy, but hanging his hat on 4 East Division titles and Sweet 16s when we need to get to the next level pisses me off. His player development outside of Chism has also been piss poor.

I like Trent, he is a good coach. Let those people hate, LSU will be back. Auburn fans care about basketball if we are good. In 2003-2004 Auburn fans cared but really since. I remember the game last year against LSU when there was around 9,000 for that game, I had a good time.

I actually like Pearl and think he is a pretty good coach. People used to say the same thing about Donovan, and right when the complaining got the loudest, he went out and won 2 National Titles.
BTW, I think calling the youngest coach to win 300 games, the 2nd youngest to win a NCAA title and 2nd youngest to win more than one title, and one that has coached a team to 3 National Title game appearances (with 2 wins) a poor coach is a bit of reach.

His X’s and O’s are not great and he’s been to back-to-back NITs. Coaching at Florida he should be in the Final Four or Elite 8 every year. He got lucky with the “04s” and has been poor since.
