As for Jones, we'll see. Supposedly he's decided he WILL take an official to Fayetteville next weekend (according to one of the Ark recruiting guys). It's a lot easier to tell Moseley "oh man, this place is awesome, I'm so gonna come here." It's harder to actually sign on the dotted line in a couple of weeks.

We'll see what happens come signing day. I'll be surprised if we pull Jones.

Why?.... his hometown is closer to Louisiana that it is Fayetteville... La Tech was serious competition until Dooley left.... IMO, Ole Miss is probably the real threat here.

IMO, Jones is a very good bet to sign with AU.

They offered Moseley to get Dyer. Arkansas wants no part of Moseley and, having watched his tapes, I can see why. Under Petrino, Arkansas is not going to offer marginal teammates of star recruits.

And how exactly do I offer a "comeback" that refutes the status of Dyer, Matthews, and supposedly Jones? Arkansas would DEFINITELY have liked to have had all 3 of those guys at one point or another. It didn't happen. What comeback is there that would change that?

It's always been that way. We get like ~20-35% of the top recruits in state and look out of state for the remainder. That's what we've done throughout history and it appears to have served us well.

Anterio Sloan is a f'ing 4 star. So? He's going to Arkansas State.

Arkansas took 2 TE's this class. I don't know how they relate to Moseley in terms of RATING, but I'm thinking that the Arkansas staff is SLIGHTLY more qualified to rank recruits and their potential than some dude making $40K a year from Rivals. And hell no, Arkansas DIDN'T want Moseley. If they did, they would have offered. Get it? See. Typically an offer is an indication that one is a wanted recruit.
