Auburn is bringing in an outstanding recruiting class

This should solve some of the quality depth problems. Looks like the bet with CPA about Auburn having a better recruiting class than Bama is going to be interesting. It looks like Auburn will for sure be ranked higher than Bama on Rivals. We hold a fairly large lead on Scout and ESPN for now. We shall see.

I'm pumped about a top 10 of 5 class, but I don't see us overtaking Bama. Just not even spots left to make a difference.

Auburn is going to sign more than a full class because they are under the 85 limit by a ton

I'm still not sure if even counting them back they will be allowed to sign more than 28. Slive wasn't particular as to that.

Exactly right... and they have a lot of back counters for last year. So Auburn can still add probably 6 more guys to this class. No doubt Auburn finishes higher than Bama on Rivals. Not sure about the other two sites.

Couldn't care less about your bet, just happy as hell to have something exciting to look forward to. 180 from this time last year.

Why do you think they will be ranked higher on Rivals?

They only count the top 20, so the number of recruits will have nothing to do with them outranking us.

3 5* and room to add a few more highly ranked players. Isn't Lattimore considerin them strongly still too?

I understand. Shon Coleman was just upgraded to 5* status on Rivals - which gives them three 5* recruits and 10 4* recruits, with room for at least 5 more to add to the class. Bama is almost full. They're already only one spot behind us on Rivals, and will likely jump us or get really close with Shon's boost in the rankings. Combine that with Lattimore (another 5* on Rivals) claming Auburn leads...

Scout is killing us. We still expect to add Lattimore and 4 to 5 more 4*s

I'm going to lol so hard if Auburn wins that bet though

Won't make a diference - Auburn will never be Alabama or Florida or LSU etc...They would need several of these classes to even breathe that groups air.

They've got a lot of ground to make up on the other two sites in order to win the bet. The bet was the highest composite average from all 3 sites. Meaning if Auburn finishes #1 on Rivals, but finishes 9th on ESPN and 8th on Scout - their average ranking would be 6th. If Bama finishes 4th on Rivals, 3rd on ESPN, and 4th on Scout... Bama wins.

I saw TWO of those things on my way back from the Airport in Atlanta the other day.

I think there is a pretty good chance they lose Shon Coleman. I would be very surprised if they hold on to him AND add Lattimore.

Yeah, they've got a few around town. I see one everyday on the way home from work. Always brings a smile to my face. It's like my own personal flea collar with all these Jawja fans around.

The way I understand it, Auburn can have a total of 33 new commitments this year. Five have already signed LOL's, are enrolled at Auburn and will count back to the 2009 class. That leaves them with 28 LOL's to fill in February. Only 25 of the 28 can be on scholarship when practice starts in August.
Rivals has Auburn with 27 total commitments now. If these recruits all sign, that leaves 6 more slots for AU (just as superman said).
How many new commitments can Bama have this year?

I'm not sure how this whole Tennessee ordeal is going to affect our recruiting - with a couple of our targets on their list of commits, but we only have about 2 targets left that are still uncommitted. We'll bring in 25 total in all likelihood.
