We've probably done it before but if not us I doubt it has ever happened.

You'll have to put it into perspective.
First playing 14 games and then the abundance of bowl games now. How many bowls invite teams with 6-6 records?
If you take that into account, I would not be surprised if another team accomplished something comparable.

No but someone will at somepoint soon because half of the teams in CFB go to a bowl game.

Jesus fricking Christ how fricking arrogant and delusional can you be?
In 1996 there were only 18 bowls, now there are 34. That's 36 bowl teams vs 64 bowl teams, think having more teams make bowls makes its easier to beat more bowl teams? Then there is the expanded schedule. Prior to what 2005, only a couple of teams played 12 games, now everyone does. Having more games means more chances to not only play more bowl teams, its means more teams will be bowl eligible. It takes 6 wins to be bowl eligible, with a 12 game schedule that's not really that great of an accomplishment.

TCU beat six teams this year that all won their bowl games.. It would have looked better if they would've beaten Boise
