WTF is going on with your recruiting?
With 15 commitments, You're 11th in the SEC, and 59th overall (you've never finished worse than 9th since Rivals started putting rankings out.
What happened to those guys that were going to be Hawgs if Hitler was the head coach at Arky?
Also, your in State-talent is being raided.
Arkansas's #1 player is committed to Auburn.
Your #3 player is committed to Kentucky
Your #5 player is committed to Ole Miss
Your #7 player is committed to Arkansas State
#11 player is committed to Arkansas State
#13 to Auburn
#14 to Mizzou
#16 to Tulsa
#17 to Louisville
#8 and #4 are the only guys you have committed.
#2 and #6 are the only high profile players left uncommitted.
#2 is considered an Ole Miss lean that won't qualify by Ole Miss sites. And #6 only holds an offer from Tulsa.
You guys had a semi-successful season this year.
What is going on? Who are the guys you are going after to fix these problems?

Pertino is a good offensive coach and a creep who does not recruit well.

How can you bust Arkansas on the in-state thing when you do not have a single in-state HS recruit? You guys are unreal.

Ole Miss isn't exactly having a banner year either.
Anyways, blame Petrino.

It's funny how you ask legit questions and people start posting dumb shite about Ole Miss. Hogville anybody?
Ole Miss' class is coming along just fine.
Arkansas' looks terrible.
Fact. No spin.

Finally, a good post, eli....well sort of.
I agree that Petrino is a weak recruiter and always has been and he will likely do no better at Arkansas than Nutt did.
On the other hand, Nutt is a pretty weak recruiter too and always has been and he will likely do no better at Ole Miss than he did at Arkansas.
I don't think either has much to crow about.....

Well, in fairness, Mississippi's top prospects usually decide late.
We didn't get Pat Patterson last year until the night before Signing Day. The same thing happened with Doug Buckles and lots of others in the past.
Not defending Nutt....just saying......

We have the #11 player committed and the #5 player signed to play basketball.
We have a shot at 9 of the top 12 players in the state since most are uncommitted.
The #1 Player in the State's (Auburn commit) Momma is pushing him towards Ole Miss.
Mullen screwed the pooch on his in-home visits.
Even Eulls is on the table for us.

Don't believe everything Yancy tells you.....more often than not, it is hyped-up wishful thinking and the reason he gets away with it is that Ole Miss fans will forgive anyone for having been wrong as long as they were overly optimistic, but will be merciless with anyone who is proven to have been overly pessimistic.
He knows his audience and how to please them.....and that is more a reflection on his audience than it is on him, since I know for a fact that he is not the homer in "real life" that he has to be on the job.....

I was going to post the same thing. I went to Ole Miss for 1 year when I lost my scholly at Bama and was friends with Yancy. I can't believe he has that job.

We're 8th in the SEC and 35th in the country, With just 15 commitments.
All of the top players in the state are in play, and we were doing worse in recruiting at this time last year. (We finished at #18)
We're going to pull at least 5 more four stars before signing day, and It wouldn't surprise me if we got 7 more.
