Why does everyone ignore USCe's defense?

the NCAA did not ignore South Carolina's defense.
They are ranked 28th but Florida is 1st, Bama is 2nd, LSU is 8th and Ole Miss is 14th.

Florida gave up 9.82 ppg, Bama 9.91 ppg, LSU 14.73 & Ole Miss 16.55 ppg.

South Carolina gave up over 20 ppg. That's nearly another touchdown more per game than LSU is giving up so I didn't include them. LINK

Who else has an offense that would by more physically demanding for an opposing CB to put up with?

I never said it wouldn't be demanding or that you can't throw the football. I just said you don't throw it well against good defenses. I gues I should have said top 10 or top 15 defenses.

The OP said Mallet will throw around four td passes. That is double what he did against the thre "top 15" defenses he has faced. That will not happen.

That's fine. I just remember hearing they had the 3rd best passing defense in the country prior to our game.

Those are the 1st, and only, 3 road games Mallett has played in the SEC. I don't know how many young QB's have played very well, against the caliber of those teams, in those circumstances. That's what worries me about this game. Mallett's numbers SHOULD have been a lot better in all 3 of those games, but he had some receivers drop some balls that they haven't dropped in any other games this year. I tend to think that the struggles on the road are just one of the byproducts of having to play so many young guys.

Yeah, I don't think Mallett is going to put up 4 td's and 400 yards on LSU. MAYBE he'd do that if the OL could give him some protection. But I just don't see that against LSU. He very well could be 10-25, 180 yards, and 1 TD. But he's also on a pretty good streak right now. So he could surprise some folks.
