your offense has averaged 14.6 points against the other three good defenses it faced.

Alabama 7 points
Florida 20 points
Ole Miss 17 points LINK

Scoring defense rankings
Florida 9.82 points per game
Bama 9.91 points per game
Ole Miss 16.55 points per game
LSU 14.73 points per game

Why does everyone ignore USCe's defense? They were pretty good against the pass coming into the Arkansas game.

Anyway, that doesn't change the fact that our receivers are a challenge. Maybe Mallett didn't get them the ball, or maybe they dropped the pass when it got there. But they continuously run 3, 4, or 5 WR sets having at least ONE guy running deep. Who else has an offense that would by more physically demanding for an opposing CB to put up with?

Here is the PROBLEM with your argument:

SACKS BY G No. Yards
1. Florida 11 31 191
2. Ole Miss 11 30 226
3. Alabama 11 28 219
10. LSU 11 17 110

The other teams did not let Mallett set his feet and throw. If you don't get to him he will pick you apart.
