Got a question for Mike Slive?

I'm attending a luncheon today where Slive is the speaker. Small gathering - probably less than 30. Anyone have a question you want me to be sure to ask?
I am thinking I will ask, "Mr. Slive, when you took over as commissioner, you said very publicly that you cared about integrity and wanted the league to have all its members off probation in all sports. You got very close to that goal at one point when only Arkansas men's track was on probation. My question is, given your public stance on integrity, did you have any misgivings when your league's flagship basketball institution hired habitual cheater, John Calipari?"

ask him to resign. This conference is too big and strong for a pansy like him.

Is Slive speaking at Bazzle's Touchdown Club? If so, that is a nice draw.

Nah - this is part of the Lecture Series associated with the Clinton School. They bring in a real nice slate of speakers on a wide range of topics.
LR TD club has had a lineup this year that has been a little bit above their usual group. Dennis Dodd from CBS Sports spoke. Petrino was there, which I think is the first time the current Hog FB coach has done it. I used to be a member of the LRTDC, but it's a little pricy and for every guy I want to hear, I have to sit through 3 Steve Roberts' and Clint Conque's.

I think my head would explode from pure frustration if I ever saw Dennis Dodd in person. Good lord he pisses me off.

I bet the "Clinton School" would have a wide range of topics.

Can we get replay booth officials who still have their depth perception?

You mean like McCain-Palin Chief Strategist Steve Schmidt, Israeli peace activist Gila Svirsky, Matthew Dowd who was chief strategist for Bush-Cheney-2004, US Congressman Mike Ross (D-Ark), Singapore's ambassador Chan Heng Chee, T. Boone Pickens, Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, Michael Dukakis, Dr. Phil, NFL Linebacker Dhani Jones, The Onion CEO Steve Hannah, WSJ columnist Thomas frank, Warrick Dunn, Bob Woodward, Mike Huckabee, Tiki Barber, Jerry Springer, Chuck D, The Little Rock 9, Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam, Miami U President Donna Shalala or many, many others? That doesn't seem like a wide range of presenters to you?
Speakers range from Hank Kissinger to Mike Slive and most points in between. There is no restriction on profession or ideology. Just have to have something to contribute to the public discourse.

ask him why a native of fricking alabama is allowed to be in the replay booth for any alabama or auburn game.

restate the question to something like
Mr. Slive, when you took over as commissioner, you said very publicly that you cared about integrity and wanted the league to have all its members off probation in all sports.
Given this goal how concerned are you when a program in the SEC hires a coach who has run into NCAA violations in the past? In this case I refer to Calipari
If you say "habitual cheater" you may or may not be accurate but you'll be marginalized as someone with an agenda instead of asking a pretty solid question

Could also ask how the SEC could have a problem with outdated technology in the review booth when the SEC is so financially strong and the investment in said equipment would be comparatively tiny
Essentially why won't the SEC spend a few thousand dollars when the outcomes of individual games affect millions of dollars in revenue
