"The story is based on an ESPN Insider Rumors....made changes in the wording of it so I could share it with everyone"

"It has long been reported that U Meyer's dream job is at Notre Dame. Meyer, an Uber Catholic, seems to be growing tired of Gainesville, the Florida head coaching job, and all of the pressure and expectations that come with the level of success he has brought back to the University of Florida. With Tim Tebow graduating and Notre Dame looking like they are headed for yet another disappointing season could all signs be pointing towards Meyer packing his bags and heading to South Bend? It sure seems that way to me, especially with stories like this:

Coach U. Meyer went off on a reporter who suggested that Florida fans might have a "ho-hum" attitude with regards to the Gators' 19-game winning streak because of their offensive struggles. (Meyer said "If it's ho-hum for somebody, you've got to really reflect and say, 'Where am I headed in this life right now?' Because if 19-0 in the Southeastern Conference at the University of Florida is ho-hum, you have one exciting life.")

Could Meyer's inability to solve his team's offensive shortcomings beginning to wear on him, or is it the second-guessing from fans and media? On Sunday morning, Meyer blew off his usual teleconference with reporters (they were told he had a scheduling conflict, even though this is a weekly event), then that very evening Meyer did not address the media following Florida's practice.

Notre Dame is looking like the perfect match for Meyer. Meyer has a HUGE ego and wants to be needed and not second guessed by anyone. Notre Dame is down right now and they would enter a burning building if Meyer told them to do so. Notre Dame will probably end up firing Weiss and Meyer being the Catholic he is, will jump at the chance to go his dream job, where he will be a God. Notre Dame will probably throw 5-6 Mil/yr his way making him the highest paid coach by a good bit. The situations at both Florida and Notre Dame combined with Meyer's massive ego, seem to make it appear that the stars are all lining up for Meyer's eventual move to South Bend following this season."

i doubt he goes to ND. i think ND has many other options, ie brian kelly, jim harbaugh etc where if urban says hes not interested they will go elsewhere. IMHO brian kelly is all but packed for ND

You remember before Notre Dame hired Charlie Weiss they first tried to hire Urban Meyer? He told them no thanks and went to Florida instead. Why would he go now?

Maybe coaching at ND would help Meyer with his ego problem...

Because he has already been to the top of the mountain in the SEC and has nothing left to prove at Florida...He has no where to go but down in Gainesville. IMO I think he wants to prove how great of a coach he is and will try to return the Irish to national prominence. All while being paid a massive sum of money...Very Saban like...
