Yes, they absolutely do. And rightfully so, IMO.
However, as of now, there are no 1 loss SEC teams, so this is really an erroneous question.

Who is the loss to? If Florida loses to SC or Bama loses to Miss State or AU and then wins the SECCG then yes.
If Bama were to lose to UTC and win the SECCG, then I dunno, that would be interesting to see what happens in the rankings but I would still say yes.

I think Florida has a shot if that happened. I think everyone reckonizes Bama is not legit.

Let's say UF loses to FSU and Bama loses to Auburn. Then does the winner still go to the championship when it would most likely be a 5 v 6 matchup at best?

No. The national guys on ESPN Sports Reporters were making fun of Alabama and SEC officiating this morning. The national perception is you guys are bogus and McElroy can't play.
