A few of you might have seen the vid I put up of Spikes as it got a few thousand hits in the day or so it got put up.
Just got an e-mail saying it was deleted due to copyright infraction from XOS (the company that does all of the video related stuff for the SEC).
I don't see any others up as well.

The funny thing is I've had that UT video up for about a week now, with over 50k hits and it is STILL up.

Are they trying to hide what he did? ESPN obviously can't show it, because they didn't have the game. I have seen no OFFICIAL footage of it anywhere.

You know if this had been an ESPN game, they would have the replay all over ESPN.com

Exactly. That's my point.

They picked JUST THAT video to remove.

I remember the media had a problem before the season started with the control the SEC has over these same video rights.

The SEC is the equivalent to the company that owned the team in the James Caan movie Rollerball.

They just showed it in slow-mo on ESPN,with CUM's response supporting his player, with half-game suspension. Also said that the NCAA is looking into it. Will the NCAA trump the SEC??

Was it on youtube? Because if thousands of Florida fans are flagging it, thats prob why it was taken down.

I do not think that the SEC is in bed w/ Florida, but I do think it's posible that they took it down because it portrays the SEC in a negative light...

You make a good point, and I agree with the guy who said Meyer should have suspended him for the whole game.

1) You don't even need him for the Vandy game

2) It would be a good PR move.

Instead Meyer just looks like an arse, and a particularly dumb arse. How many people watching around the country went "ooooooo" when he announced it would be an entire "half game".

Gator fans, time for you to come clean on this one and appear more reasonable than your coach.

It appears the Big Ten is in bed with Iowa.
That Indiana Iowa game was almost as bad as the Florida/Arkansas one.

Seriously?

What would you like us to do suspend him for a whole game, like a fan to player suspension?

You think a half game suspension is appropriate action for what he did? Trust me pal, this was a stupid move on Meyer's part.

Had the suspension been a little more severe, the league and NCAA might have been appeased. As it is now, be prepared to lose him for a longer period.

I would think maybe a half per eye would have been appropriate.

I never said what was or was not appropriate, my point is that fans cannot really do anything here so why ask us to?

I bet you that's what it is. I didn't actually see this happen, but if its as bad as the board is making it sound, then I bet all the Florida people are flagging it.

I think the anti "Florida" chatter here has been a bit much at times, but when something like this happens, coupled with the Arkansas fiasco, it's bound to happen.

I can absolutely assure you much of the anti-Florida vitriol, has been fueled by that Arkansas game.

Long suspension coming down by the NCAA,you can just feel it. It wasn't a gouge,he dug and scratched on a defensless player(with his arms trapped). It was the worst thing that I've seen in a long time. Even Meyer looked sick, trying to support him. Spikes harmed the game of football on that, and the NCAA will come down on it.

It was a failed attempt, he didn't even touch the guy's eyes and now you want to say he dug down into them. Pretty far-fetched.

Glad he was disciplined, could have been the whole game though.
