If Snead can pick apart the Cock defense and play like a beast I think after tonight's nationally televised game he will move on up as one of the front runners for the Heisman.

You may beat USC by 50.

But if you are getting your hopes up that a HDN coached QB will play consistently enough to win the Heisman, you need to slow down.

I actually like Snead.

One thing that will be interesting to see tonight is how OM's O-Line holds up against an SEC defensive front. In the first half vs. Memphis, Snead was rushed several times.

That's a big if.

He has not looked as good in the first two games as he did at the end of last season.

That may be partly due to the lack of confidence the coaches have had in the O-line or it may be because it has taken a couple of games to get his timing down with his new receivers, but he had better be operating on all cylinders tonight if we are going to win.

That is a lot more important consideration now than his status as a Heisman candidate.....

Your exactly right. ESPN was just talking about how good one of South Carolina's defensive ends is, he already has 4 sacks this season.

Same drivel from you, different day.

You act as if Nutt and Snead never part. They are hardly near each other in practice. We have a tremendous OC/QB coach who is developing him.

But you probably will read this and all that will register is "OMG, Houston Nutt Fail!!11!!12"

Why can't Ole Miss just have a good player without pushing a heisman campaign for him?

Duece, Eli, Snead.

Only 3 people at Ole Miss since I've been a fan that has had a Heisman campaign. FWIW, I don't agree with him being the best player on the team. I think that honor goes to D-Mac.

And to answer your question........Merchandising.

He never had a Heisman campaign. Should have though.

Well, the voters disagree.

Darkhorse, yes. 0% chance, wrong.

Didn't Ole Miss campaign Coach O for Coach of the year the spring and summer before he coached his first game at Ole Miss?

HAHAHA, amazing that a thread about Snead would get turned into a slam on Nutt by an Arky fan. Wonder why? Here's an interesting question. WHEN Snead goes the NFL, do the same dumb fricks that are blaming his current sub par play, for him, on Nutt then turn around and give Nutt credit for putting a QB in the NFL? Rhetorical of course I already no that the answer is that no of course they won't, they will rant and rave that Austin developed Snead into an NFL QB despite Nutt. HAHAHAH you douche bags are so predictable.

Amen. Has anyone that Ole Miss fans pushed for a heisman ever been in the top 3? Serious question I'm not being a jackass.
