I f we played this week Bama would beat Au based on what I have seen and the matchups, but a long time until Nov so we will see.

As an Auburn fan it pains me to say this, but if they played now (and if they play in November without any major injuries taking key players out) Bama would beat Auburn and probably by two scores at least.
As an Auburn fan, I am happy so far. We are 3-0 with a game against Ball State upcoming and Furman down the road for Homecoming. That should mean we win at least 5 games this year, and with a little luck in the remaining SEC games get at least 6 wins. Six wins would better last year's record and maybe shut up those who continually hung on CHizik's 5-19 record because guess what, he bested that in one season.
The game last night wasn't pretty, but WVU isn't as bad as some would like to believe. The reason they struggled with Liberty was the same thing that bit them last night - turnovers - and most deep in Liberty territory. The Auburn defense played sloppy and didn't tackle well, I admit that. However, the Neer QB was huge and wouldn't go down. How many times did AU have him behind the line just to have him bounce off a hit and make yardage or get off a pass?
