Not sure how that happened after an off week, but how many years has it been since Ole Piss was in the AP top 5? Like 40? 50?

They are going to lose that top 5 ranking pretty quickly.

I wish USC wasn't going to skullfrick them next Thursday so Bama could do it and watch them cry. Oh well.

I called this last week.

And Bama fans have never been on our asses this much (at least for a while). Sounds like yall might be a little nervous going into that game.

1970, they got as high as 4th with a 4-0 record in the Oct 12 AP poll, behind tOSU, Texas, and Notre Dame. Then they lost their 5th game of the season to Southern Mississippi.

Its more like, the only thing you guys did to deserve a top 5 ranking was have a hard time with Memphis. Then you move up 3 spots since preseason despite being the only top ten team to only play one game.

Its just annoying how Alabama had to prove it belonged up there, and Ole Miss is seemingly getting a freebie because the media likes Snead. When the team shows that it can be elite, I wont have any complaints, but until then........

It wasn't that hard

Sorry, but we can't control this

We've played 1 game and won by 31. We were ranked in the preseason top 10 and other top 10 teams have lost. It's no big deal rankings are worthless right now anyway.

I myself try to understand this, and prefer to just silently grumble about it.

I just chose to voice it this time.

They played Florida International. If they had played Florida Atlantic, Howard Schnellenberger would have dropkicked Nick Saban and Greg McElroy simultaneously and then gone back to drinking his pepsi on the sideline and looking snappy.

how many years has it been since they had an elite coach?

Ole Miss has always had the talent and recruiting base. They just needed someone to put it all together. This will be a top 10 program under Nutt.

You know, I mightve been refering to the 12-2 season we had last year. Say what you will about the loss to Utah, but were your records better than our's last year? Did you beat us?

Still living in the past I see. Last year was last year... correct?
'Bama has a good team, but I honestly don't see what they've done to earn their ranking either. In fact, polls at this point in the season are pretty worthless if you ask me.
