Fayetteville and Oxford are nothing alike IMO.
Here are our rollergirls. A little mean and scary, but thats part of the whole package:

The Arkansas Killbillies and The Backwoods Bettys.
We have a male team called the Scallawags, but who cares about that...

I fell in love with the Whole Hog in Little Rock YEARS ago and my better half occasionally has it shipped to Austin.
Sadly, Whole Hog is about the only thing I miss in Little Rock.

Not true.
We have alot of people who are just your normal college types.
Dirty Liberal hippies, Indy kids, jocks, party-girls, druggies, rednecks.
You don't see those kinds of people at the football games because they either have something better to do (like get fricked up and write music) or dress up like me and duke do.
We have a sick music scene, fwiw.
Modest Mouse, Wilco, Animal Collective, Dinosaur Jr, Manchester Orchestra, Fun. Have all been to Oxford within the past year. We've also got some decent local acts such as Charlie Mars, Sanders Boehlke, and Colour Revolt. All three have made some impact on the indy scene nationally.
