Kodi is working in the Wildcat today. This must mean he is not going to be the starter.

Tropper Taylor said Benton, Emory Blake, Stallworth, and Gulley are going to play and they are thinking of redshirting some of the older receivers.

Also, 2* Darren Bates is going to play too and be a stud. He is as good as Rod Woodson who was his 4* H.S. teammate at Safety. Bates is already big hitting people and had some INTs in scrimmages. He is a surprise at a position where we needed someone to step up.

Bates is a solid player, but not Rod. Also, your WR's are garbage!

End of discussion

This speaks volumes on former recruiting at Auburn.

The only freshmen WR for y'all that is worth a crap is Benton.. Just because Blake was a 4* doesn't mean he's worth a ****. What about the multiple 4* WR's on your roster that are terrible?

Why would you redshirt an older player? Bench him yes but redshirt a true JR or SR?

I have been really busy. I will get something good. I want the Bama fan getting his baby signed by Saban in there somewhere.

And yes, Emory Blake is good Joel Smeagle.

Hope that with coaching and more exposure to the new offensive scheme that they will be able to help you next year or the year after, and not burn a year of eligibility.

Think about it, a true Jr who isn't all that good and doesn't play isn't likely to leave early for the NFL. Why burn his Jr year by having him sit the bench if he still has the ability to redshirt?

The coaching staff may see talent and promise there, but just don't think it has been developed enough to use quite yet.

I see your point but aren't these older players getting the same coaching as the younger ones. If the coaching staff believes that the younger players are better than it would seem that the older ones would effectively be always behind them even with a redshirt. I don't see how a true junior would progress within the same system as a true freshman if the freshman is already better in the same time frame of coaching.

Tell me Smeagle who does the ole thad have besides Jones?? Let me guess all those unproven 4* WR's that the mighty midget signed. I'm sure McCoy, Maze, Hanks, Gibson and Alexander strike fear into the Defense.

Before you trash our WR corp you better check yourself. All our WR's needed was some coaching and Troop is known to be one of the best. By the end of the year Blake will be a household name(write that down)!!

CPA, I feel a little gay saying this, but I like seeing your name pop up on the board...I know it's going to be an intersting thread.

I can see your point, but who knows. Even if they never get better and don't move up the depth chart though, why waste a year of eligibility with them riding the bench? If you can redshirt them, go ahead and do it, it can't hurt.
