If we can keep Alfred Davis, DD Jones, Bequette, some of those guys healthy and bring in a couple decent juco's (which unfortunatly we'll have to b/c Petrino struck out at D-line this year)
Returning DL , the ones with stars were recruited by BP and stars indicate their rating out of HS

Robert Thomas

Zach Stadther ***

I suppose you could say that five out of 50 players recruited is striking out at a position , IF you're used to Houston Nutt recruiting where the philosophy is focus on one position need and sign 15 guys for that position and pretend like the other positions don't exist for that year, BUT when you're trying to recruit to an overall plan and have consistent depth at EVERY position and when your predecessor left you nothing at the QB,WR,and DB positions, you have to focus differently.
You are quickly proving that your football knowledge is as slim as Nutt's chances of every winning a national championship.

Talking about how Ole miss was easier to recruit too
Misspelled form of to aside. I would have to agree, OM must be easier to recruit to because the buffoon pulled in the 18th best class in the nation in 2009, something he never managed at Arkansas, the problem for him is that Bobby Petrino pulled in the 16th best class in the nation at Arkansas, destroying Nutt's cover story that 22nd or so was the best Arkansas could ever do.
quote:
when he talks about the good teams it's always Bama and LSU, no mention of ark
Proof of both his stupidity and his tackiness. First of all, every other coach in the SEC acknowledges that BP is building a winner in Arkansas, but not Nutt he's gotta get his little jibes in. Second of all, do you hear a areal professional coach that has also moved from one SECW team to another, Nick Satan, making stupid and childish remarks about his former team? No of course not. This is just more Nutt arse clownery.
Enjoy him.
OH PS

then we have a chance

What I mean is the interior line is weak already and there has been attrition and somewhat underacheiving so far with Askew.
Robert Thomas did not qualify. John Henderson did not qualify. Lampkin and Brian Christopher have left the team. Stadther only had one other bcs offer, kansas State, and was headed there until Petrino had to take him b/c Nutt took a more highly sought after Georgia DT originally slated for Arkansas to Ole Miss.
so, what I'm getting at is, next year is a situation where Nutt likes to run run run and a small, youthful, shallow interior d-line traditionally has trouble with it and that's an area Nutt figures to be very strong 2010.
Getting back to your recruiting thing I would advise you to go on to espn and look at all the guys he recruited that graded out 77 or higher and look at all the guys Petrino recruited that graded out 77 or higher. His top 25 players were more highly sought after than Arkansas', especially if you make a composite of the best rating each service has for each player, ie; Corey Gaines is a 74 on espn but 4 star on rivals. Dele Junaid is a 2 star on rivals but 78 on espn which many 78's are considered 4 stars on rivals.
You are saying he was 18th we were 16th but on paper his fullqualifier highschool players grade out alot higher than ours. A big chunk of our class was Juco so thats 7 schollies where we are totally starting over at their posistions in 2 years when if we recruited harder, evaluated better, we could of had players entering their 3rd year in the system in 2011.
That's something else I don't agree with. By reading some of the recruiting reports it sounds like he's gonna try to bring in a bunch of juco's again this year. I simply don't agree with the method and find him a poor, and lazy recruiter.
