Clicky Thing

Apparently Dickie V doesn't think the SEC will be the bad conference that it was last year.

The SEC has four teams in the top 25 and 5 in the top 40.

2. Kentucky
12. Tennessee
18. Mississippi State
22. Florida
36. South Carolina,

Where is LSU? Hell, Tasmin coming back...they should be solid.

we have 0 bench right now. also any kinda foul trouble with our bigs and its even worse for us.

Im kinda wait and see on this team. We have talent like bo and tasmin but we have questions like storm,Garret green and our bench.

trent is a great coach though so we might do better than expected

18. Mississippi State: If Renardo Sidney is eligible, this could be a top-10 team. Jarvis Varnado's return made coach Rick Stansbury smile.

:praying Sidney will be eligible:

Rock Chalk no doubt should be pre-season #1.

Kansas should be like North Carolina was last year, EVERYBODY's preseason #1.

I really think if Mississippi State gets Renardo Sidney eligible they can challenge Kentucky for the outright SEC championship.

they have 2 first team all-americans IMO which is amazing in this age.

also, i find it interesting that this kansas team probably won't hold the national championship team's jock and that team was not a unanimous number 1 preseason.

If a SEC team is in DV's top 20 thats a miracle. State should be higher on the list if sidney can play, but should be higher any way 18 and Tenn's 12 BS

Because of lack of a post presence. Also not knowing how the players who were injured last year will be able to return at 100%. I think that Ole Miss will be in the top 6 of the SEC and will have a shot of making the NCAA tournament. Andy Katz thinks OM is a bubble team.

Post Presence is Reggie Buckner and Murphy Holloway. I donno what to make of DeAngelo Riley who is a JUCO guy.

I think the west finishes...

They're not in there b/c they lost everyone else. LSU will not be near as strong this year as last. I'm thinking NIT.

The SEC as a whole will be much improved though.

MMJones, I think that Ole Miss has a very good shot at finishing 2nd in the SECw but the only thing that I disagree with on your poll is Lsu 3rd. My preseason poll looks like this. Tasmin Mitchell is going to really miss Marcus Thornton and his ability to knock down big shots. With Bama they have a new coach who will bring in a lot of energy.

1. Mississippi State
2. Ole Miss
3. Bama
4. Arkansas
5. LSU
6. Auburn
