Fulmer really had gotten stale. he lost his recruiting knack and seemed to be coasting. remember, UT was in the '07 SECCG. kiffin did a very good job recruiting in his first class. if he keeps that up, UT will be a force to be reckoned with (provided his "super-recruiters" can coach). Monte is huge for them if he can put up with dealing with college kids. as we get older (i know this for a fact; ha-ha), dealing with immaturity gets to be difficult. i have reservations about any of their coaches being stellar coaches.
