Why? Programs with more tradition and money (or as much) than UT have crashed and burned for a good long period.
Bama, UGA, FSU, Miami, ND, Southern Cal, LSU, AU etc...all had their periods of suckitude. UT is gonna get theirs...

That is very true. But if Kiffin can continue to recruit well (and stay off probation) I do think he has the staff to translate talent into wins. It all comes down to recruiting the best players for your system.
And if Kiffin does happen to be the SEC's new version of Coach O, then the coach that comes in and takes over in four years will have loads of talent. Vol fans should have high expectations.
