I heard somewhere that Monte Kiffin is being paid $1.5 million per year. Is that true?

Monte is paid 1.2 million a year though I believe bonuses can push that to 1.5? Lane's salary is $2MM so he and Monte combined don't equal to Miles, Saban, or Meyer. I think TN ranks 4th or 5th in the SEC in terms of total salary?

I read where Coach O makes around 700,000 a year & CLK has a buy out of 7.5 million the first 2 years & 6 million years 3 & 4. RTR

If we're going to compare Kid Kiff to those three in salaries, let's do so in coaching records too. I think each of those three have more nat'l championship rings than Kiff has SEC wins.

I thought the staff as whole was highest paid in SEC?

If you don't count any head coaches, then TN does have the highest paid staff in the SEC. But once you factor the HC in to total payroll, TN is 4th or 5th i believe.

Yes the assistants are the highest but the total staff comes in about 4th. Monte makes 1.2 ml this year with a $300'000 retention bonus this yr. next yr he makes 1.3 with a .2 bonus and in third yr he makes 1.4 with a .1 bonus.
