don't know about a redshirt, with the way our back-ups showed during spring he could be pressing for a secondary role

He better be, or the defense is going to break every bone in his body.

As I said, RS status will be decided later. Noone can tell now. OUr 2nd string+ QB's have showed nothing as far as running this system. If he can come in and contribute more-so than Darrah or Jackson than I see him not RShirting

Mccarron is overrated. He doesn't have a cannon for an arm. His delivery is a little funky as well. Mccarron isn't the fastest guy his 40 time is 5.0. He is really really really skinny. However, he has a decent arm and very good accuracy.

His arm strength is comparable to that of Murray. He can make all the throws.

I read his 40 time was 4.something. Maybe 4.6?

i disagree murray has an incredible dont get me wrong mccarron has an arm but its only average. Of course, alabama is used to qb's without the strongest arm y'all have been dealing with the weak armed j.p. wilson. At least, mccaron has a stronger arm than that

Murray's height is gonna kill him in the long run. McCarron is 6'4-6'5ish and doesn't have to load up on every pass, whereas Murray appears to put everything behind all of his passes. Both kids are gonna be good.
