Is LA Tech a trap game for AU?

After last season, and the new HC's past record and "lukewarm" reception upon hiring....I do not think AU will be overlooking anyone on their schedule.

That is what I am thinking. I also think that if Dooley wants a look from a major conference, he will pull out the stops.

You have it backwards. This is a trap game for la tech. I fully expect la tech to win and chiznicks record to go to 5-20.

It was a TRAP game for us (MISS ST) last year. I lost 100 dollars on that game

No serious Auburn fan is taking this, or any other game on our schedule, lightly. I think this game and it's outcome sets the tempo for our season. LA Tech is a good team, we "should" beat them, but a loss or a very close game will increase the angst by 1000%

Why on earth would you bet on a season opening game AT a non-BCS opponent's house? You had to know they'd be jacked up for this.

I think they did a couple of years ago, since you brought it up. They have also beat Alabama.
From a LSU fan perspective, Tech is looked at as a win for us.

Tech has a very good team and if AU isn't clicking it could be trouble for us. I say someting like 27-24 AU.

I don't think it's a trap game due to it being the 1st game of the season but I do see it as a tough well fought game
