Urban Meyer Below Average Coach

Tebow will get hurt or something. I was watching the replay of the 2005 South Carolina game and Meyer in a close game even against an inferior opponent is simply a below average coach. If he can't blow someone away early he's below average. I also think they are going to run in to some troubles in the SEC trying to put a QB under center for the first time in his life and run plays that you run under center. That type of overhaul is something that takes a while to get use to and sometimes an entire season. Snead played poorly early due in large part to that.
Agree or Disagree?

Disagree to an extent. I think he's a lot like Saban. They are good coaches, but rely on superior talent to sway the game.

Urban Meyer went 13-0 at Utah and won a national championship with Chris Leak as his starting quarterback. People who think all of his success is due to Tebow must forget about those things

I agree with this. And I think I just threw up in my mouth for agreeing with CC.

WRT is that you? How can some people watch one game and can then decide if a coach is good or not? Yes Urban Meyer can make mistakes and does make them. His success is not only based on the offense either. From what I hear alot more goes into being a successful head coach such as, recruiting, hiring good assistants that will work well together, keeping the team hungry and conditioned, managing those who work for you, game planning etc. Gamdeday decisions though vital, are not the only important characteristic of a successful head coach. As far as talent goes, what coach consistently wins National Titles without being a superiot recruiter in order to get the best players on your team? That is a part of the equation.

He reminds me alot of Urban Meyer's offense. They both came through the ranks with a system that won't work at the highest level b/c you are too limited to certain things with it.

Completely disagree. What he did at Utah, and then to win a national title in year two at Florida should trump that argument right away. Then the way they dominated opposing teams last year on their way to another national title should prove that Meyer is one of the best coaches in America. Who cares if Tebow is leaving after the 2009 season? The Gators still have lots of talent to lean on.

wildrebeltime is a tool; we all know that and nobody here or pretty much anywhere else agrees with him. We are all "football novices" in his mind. And it's because we look at results and facts over future speculation based on irrelevant information.

It's bad enough we have WRT posting this shite, do we really need others reposting it for him?

I think the Bunchie feller was just pointing out how much of a tool WRT is in case anyone missed his insanely idiotic post.
