he was interviewed on wwl at the manning passing academy--said that now Saban is on Bama's side that LSU has surpassed AU as the biggest rival

no link--look it up if you want to see it

he seemed like a good kid with his head screwed on right...just hope we can knock it off

He's from Texas. He doesn't really know what he's saying. It's AU, UT, then maybe LSU.

Well in terms of winning the West, LSU is the biggest rival.

Especially since Auburn winning West this season or next.

If he is the QB of the team and he says we are the biggest rival then we are..maybe not mean as much to you but to the team I guess we do.

it seems people get rivalries and important games confused. rivalry has history and tradition, important games are the ones that decide who goes to Atlanta. Recently AU and LSU has been important games but never came close to surpassing the AU-Bama rivalry. And Saban goin to Bama dosent make an rivalry just a storyline

That usually has little to do with rivalries until a considerable amount of time passes IMO.

He is also being a huge douche by openly dissing UT and AU. He just gave two teams that already have a natural hatred for Bama bulletin board material.

That dick attitude is the wrong type of attitude to have going into a season in a competitive conference. It wouldn't be completely ridiculous for UT or Auburn to upset the Tide either. I don't expect it, but I don't doubt the possibility.

I bet he will hear it big time from Saban. It isn't like one of the studs said this.

Well history and traditions are more for schools.
I mean honestly do we as LSU fans care for rival Ole Miss or is it just another game? For majority of fans it has not been a true rival for many years.

Especially past few years LSU/Bama has been very climatic and has helped decide the West.

We may not be a traditional rival but we are a present rival and possibly carry more weight than AU.

You're an idiot. But I do like the way you found a way to let your seething resentment out against all odds.

Considering the Saban situation and the recruiting competition this could turn into a heated rivalry for years to come.

Well it is a stupid comment. He has been at the school for three years and he is going to come out and kick two rivals while they are down. That is just begging to piss off the other two teams that really don't need any more reason to not like him. I also think it is a lot worse for a nobody to come out and say it. If it was one of the stud players like McClain or something it wouldn't be as bad.

I admit LSU rivalries suck since the other schools are not relevant typically in regards to SEC titles and NCs. LSU-Bama is not much of a rivalry since they beat us down all the time pre 2000 and we are 7-2 this decade. I don't really see how that is considered a rivalry without more of a back and forth exchange. The only storyline to the whole thing is Saban and I don't think that is rivalry worthy.

Dude he is fricking majoring in Marketing. I am not the slightest impressed or intimidated. If he is really so intelligent he is wasting it.

I don't see how that is not a prick comment. It doesn't matter if we are the power in the West currently.
