This board is usually full of Bama posters. They are strangely absent today. How many NCs have the Tigers won since Bama's '92 title which resulted in their almost receiving the death penalty?

Hey, I don't want to be absent today, but felt like it was your day and shouldn't intrude. Great game, and great victory. I love to watch after the game where they show all the personal stuff like the coach with his dad. I also think it was great that Coach Miles was there and supporting his players. He seemed really involved with the game, and quite proud of them. I like to see coaches supporting each other, and it looks good for the university to have this unity.
So as a Bama fan, I'd like to say congrats on the win and the championship, and believe it or not, most Bama fans were pulling for you... I know that's easy to say now, but it is true.

Bert...research, my man! We did not "almost receive the death penalty" for 1992 infractions as there were none. Langham signed something - a contract, a napkin, whatever - AFTER the Sugar Bowl game...hence, there was no in-season infractions. The Langham issue was the first in a series of NCAA run-ins, therefore we would never have received the death penalty.

Anyway, congrats on winning the CWS as I said you would on 06-17-09.

Heh...death penalty for a first offense of a player signing a napkin!
