That is a good possibility.
I think one reason we are ranked as high as we are is because of our defense. We should have a great defense this year. And if they can cause turnover and put up points we may live up to our expectations.

But would 3 losses be a bust for Bama? Not really. 9-3 would be plenty good in an offensive rebuilding year. Considering the schedule (which lacks Florida and Georgia) I think they would have to AT LEAST go 8-4 for it to start being considered a letdown. 7-5 or worse for it truly be considered a "bust". A 5-loss season would likely include 4 losses among VT, LSU, OM, Ark, SC and 1 "shocker" like Tennessee, UK, Auburn or MSU.
