A guy on BOL known to be an insider on certain matters is saying that "tomorrow will be a good day on this board, and it has nothing to do with recruiting". I'm thinking NCAA ruling... and a not so severe one at that.

Is this any more legit than Luke's "super secret awesome inside press information"?

So many "insiders" have said so many things that I am just going to sit back and wait to hear from the ultimate insider on this case; the NCAA.

I just noticed, Luke didn't live up to his self promised 99 day hiatus

Gotta love it when a good day for your school is to not have "severe" sanctions from the NCAA. I know all schools cheat at some level, but it just seems like its accepted at Bama. And for what its worth i don't think it has anything to do with the current coaching staff.

Based on what? 4 football players receiving textbooks for free from a bookstore and turning them back in at the end of the year? Or is it the self initiated investigation by the University that makes you feel that way?

And it's gonna be a damn good day because this shat has been going on since the middle of the 2007 season... NCAA this, NCAA that... Textbooks textbooks textbooks. It'll be a damn good day when we FINALLY hear a verdict, and it's not as severe as some of these prognosticators have suggested.

no offense but I'm not going to hold my breath. I've heard this for the last 4 weeks from 'insiders" Bama will get the fax first so they'll have it in hand usually Wednesday so it could be true but I'm doubtful.

Explain me why would you hold your breath anyways?

P.S. But I agree with you

I'm no bama historian but i think they've had a few more violations than this most recent textbook scandal. Maybe the boosters take football a little to seriously in your neck of the woods?

This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread - regarding the NCAA verdict on textbooks, or Bama "accepting" the cheating, IMHO

I see your point, I'm sure for the average fans and alumni this has got to be getting old. I hope the sanctions come sooner than later, and I doubt they will be severe.

Yeah, I understand that, superman.

Kind of pathetic when all the fans hopes come down to what happens to another team, especially before the season starts.

I post on several boards and 4 weeks ago a former Bear player said "its coming out this week 2 scholarships over 2 years 3 year probation extention"

The next week it is another guy that "you can take it to the bank" posted something similar.

It could be but after being let down so much from the "insiders" I'll just wait and read about it on ESPN lol.

if Bama gets anything but a slap on the wrist then the NCAA is fricking ridiculous. If you want to get on programs for anything how about getting on them for the number of arrests they have. (Yes Urban Meyer I'm looking at you)

Kids sold textbooks, big fricking deal.

I generally think it will be light 2 for 2 but with 200 athletes as a whole abusing this and 50-100k in variance they could get hit with LOIC. I don't expect that to happen but it all depends on the NCAAs mood at the time.

I can assure you that the NCAA ruling won't be faxed to the university.
