Why do you guys call your spring game "Aday," too?

Why do you call yalls A-day? Why does it matter what we call it? Both of our universities start with an A. Not that big of deal that both are called A-day. But being bammer I'm sure you think y'all came up with it and always come up with everything. I bet you think y'all had "walk of champions" before "tiger walk" as well, don't you?

Yes, dooshbag, as a matter of fact, we have a reason for calling our's "Aday," and it has nothing to do with the fact that our state, or school name, begins with an A. It's just another event, in the very long list of events I might add, where our little sister has to copy us in everything we do. A Day actually started in the 1920's as a sort of field day at the University. There was no Spring football game. Instead they had all sorts of other events like airplane races, wrestling matches, a baseball game, and a dance at night. Folks around town brought their families and spent the day.
The reason it was called "A Day" was because the event was sponsored by the A Club. So in reality, the "A" in A Day had zip to do with the "A" in "Alabama."

Well congrats. Guess that means we have to change ours since the mighty tahd is named the same. I will contact our AD immediately and tell him to change it that bama is the only team worthy of using A-day as the name for their spring game. Sorry about that.

No problem. Thanks. We'd really not like to have ANY confused association to Auburn.
