They have been a sponsor of the radio broadcast for years.

I'm looking to get a HELOC pretty fast, so I looked into them.

The first thing they want to know is my phone number. Not my name, not my address, but my phone number.

I shut it down right there. Entering that will mean I get 25 calls a day from people trying to sell me a HELOC.

Do y'all have any personal experiences with GOCU?

Or a good recommendation for a HELOC?

My current mortgage servicer does not offer HELOC's. It was originally USAA but they sold my mortgage to Rocket. C'est La Vie.

Phone numbers can run credit reports nowadays.

We had a heloc through BoA.
But they buttfricked me in 2007 by cutting the line to virtually 0.

So we got a heloc through Regions.
I kept that for 10 years until the line ended and got a 2nd through Regions.

We don't charge anything on it. It is a a large emergency credit card.

That's exactly what I'm looking for.

We don't bank with regions if that means anything to you.

You get slightly better terms with an account. Slightly better terms with payroll deposits.

But they were free. And had great LTV terms.

I guess I'll have to go in person. Regions also requires account creation, which I was willing to do, but it said my password didn't meet requirements, even though I chose google's poa8s7uoplkwjknefjishda password.

It's like the banks don't want business.

I have a HELOC and car loan through Credit Union of Georgia who i recommend. I have not checked rates in years but they were competitive when I opened them. You have to be a member and you have to open a checking account and a savings account to be a member. But I think that only requires $200.
