Remember Tony V sucked, amirite? Even though several programs tried to hire him
:)
Who was the head coach in all those games that Tony was suspended?
:)
Uh oh. BaseVOLS finna eat. Again.

The real question is if Tony V took the fur coats with him when he left.

I think he did but left the Daddy hat.

At LSU, we only care about National Championships.

Imagine hiring a coach with no prior head coaching experience

Tigers had 2 CWS titles during that time and are loaded again this year.
Y'all "finna eat" alright, maybe our leftovers. Bring it on!

Preemptive bragging always works out.

Josh hit more HRs than Jay could even dream up in college. Am I doing this right? Tony V hit 1.

Tenner is this year’s Aggy.
Their head coach didn’t want to be there and left them for better so they hired the assistant who had never been a head coach before and missed the NCAA tournament.
Yep, Tenner is now Aggy.
Fitting.

This was all part of the plan. There is a reason Josh didn't leave Tennessee to take a head coach job at lesser programs.

“Okay so here’s what we’re going to do. We’ll fail to make it to Omaha, I’ll leave and bring Frank Anderson with me, then we’ll watch the Tenner program crumble back to where it’s always been!”

BaseVOLS re-load. The Program stands on it own, regardless of the coach.

Vitello probably realized if MLB is asking it's time to take the leap
Some of it was probably due to Tenn not on the same level NIL wise as Texas schools and LSU
If it doesn't work out in MLB he will have the pick of his next college job
He could easily return to Arkansas or Aggies one day
If he's successful enough it may help other college coaches

that's a neat story and all

Very true. He had accomplished everything there is to do in college baseball and now has a chance to make history in the MLB. If he fails then he will return to college and instantly be a top 3 paid coach at any place he wants. It is a can't-lose situation for him.
Just like Saban in football and Pitino in basketball.
