Honestly, I never really got the impression they were that close. I'm sure they interacted at some point, but I never really felt like they were that close to each other.

One of the things that struck me about Sumrall when he arrived for his introductory press conference was that one of the first things he did when he arrived on campus was meet with Todd and took pictures with him.

It seems like Urban Meyer also is pretty high on CJS as well.

Golden is just calling it how he sees it. It's "refreshing" to hear some of the stuff Sumrall is saying. That's a frick YOU to Napier.

Napier (and family) might have been the most disconnected coach from UF and Gator sports we've seen. He'd occasionally make appearances, but they were definitely not as visible around Gainesville as coaches usually are.

The only time I saw Napier outside of the a game was occasionally you’d see him at Spurrier’s (usually with a recruit) or at gatorball, where his son was on one of the other teams opposite of my son. Although the later was more in the spring, rarely in the fall.
