Didn’t play our best ball tonight, tip the caps to thug u they were a lot more physical throughout the game. Ready to keep this ball rolling next year. Oh yeah and there’s one more thing I forgot to mention. FIRE MIKE!!!!

It was a hell of a season man and honestly I'm pretty happy about it. Obviously I wanted to win but s*** man we played some good ball too many missed tackles and s*** like that but it is what it is.

Heartbroken, but super excited about the future. Recruiting is the name of the game, and Pete will prove to be elite in that department.

This team highly exceeded expectations. We made it to the semi’s with a d2 transfer and a limp dik coach. I truly believe the staff we currently have will keep trucking along and have full faith in Pete. We would’ve been sent home last week with the ho here.

Hell of a season. Roll the clock back to August and almost everyone thought we were headed for a 8-4 rebuild season. Never imagined we'd make the semi-finals.

Still have full faith in Pete to lead this team and continue this momentum. Time to hit the portal hard for the next week and see what the new offensive staff can do.

Not worried about defense - last year's team show what Pete and our defense coaches can do when we have talent. This years defense just didn't have the dudes - and I think that largely was because Kiffin spent the majority of the NIL budget on offense this year. Hope we have a bit more balance moving forward.

I’ve been saying this to my friends IRL, but I’ll put it here now… I think coaches like Pete are going be the elevating factor for success in today’s money driven CFB game.

Granted, none of our success would be here without a robust collective. That being said, the separation comes with both finding players who, as Pete so eloquently says “love football and not just love what football can do for them”, and having a coach players will move heaven and earth for.

You see this directly with Cignetti. A whole roster of B+ players that are hungry will rip the throat out of a team full of A players that don’t have the right mentality.

With the current landscape where the talent gap and parity is getting closer and closer every year, teams that emphasize mentality + have a coach that players will run through a wall for are going to have sustainable success at a high level.

TL:DR - I’m glad we have Pete going forward as the frontman given that we have a NIL behemoth supporting the effort

Yes, Pete will prioritize defense from here on out. I think the pickups in the portal so far align with that. Last night proved that in the new era of tempo, high octane offenses, defenses still win championships.
