They call it the "The Granddaddy of Them All". You know you're a big-time program if you're an SEC team that has made it to the Rose Bowl Game.

That was the BCS National Championship played at the Rose Bowl stadium.

Alabama didn’t playin the Rose Bowl game they played at the Rose Bowl.

It was at the Rose Bowl but it wasn’t THE Rose bowl. It was the national championship game; the bowl game was played a week and a half earlier.
