This is the year of great defense and mediocre offenses

All the successful playoff teams seem to have I've thing in common... Great defense and mediocre offense. Maybe the only exception being ole miss.

Bama definitely has a good defense. I fear for Mendoza tomorrow.

Speak for yourself… I’m fine with our offense besides a couple games this year. Our defense sucked but did a 360 after Ole Miss.

Offensive production across the board is basically back to pre-2010 levels. Though part of that is also because of the running clock rule limiting total possessions

The difference is they started teaching players how to tackle. Pre 2015 tackling was becoming a lost art at both the college and pro level.

Sound tackling is back and Tech is rated the best tackling team. That is a sure sign the world is about to end.
