Guys ... here its called "dick-riding" now. So - OK - I'll dick ride LSU.
I think its still the best combination of local talent and booster support in the country. They just grow a bigger, faster, stronger player - black and white - from that area from the Panhandle to Texarkana into the part of Texas that all the big schools ignore, and up to Southern Mississippi.
And LSU has enough money, dedicated to football, to keep enough of it and grab some pieces outside that region. Look - LSU isn't poor. Oil Money exists. Shipping money exists. A ton of refinery money exists. Ag money exists.
And I think Lane Kiffin screws all this up on a Bobby Petrino scale. That is NOT a shot at Louisiana. I like Louisiana. I've liked it every time I've worked there.
