Saw this description of our offense in the comments on RockM. I read them so you don’t have to.
I will be stealing it.

It's worse than that.
Drink has no idea how to scheme. As Navy pointed out, he has 2 or 3 concepts that are easy to defend ...
One thing that I noticed last night is that there is almost no/limited pre-snap motion and even less misdirection ...
We always run into the short-side of the field (if available), we actually ran one play-action pass for 12+ yards and then I don't think we did that again ... the entire game ...
Advanced offensive schemes have concepts to create mismatches, identify LB/Safety downhill tendencies, etc. We literally run the same tired 3-4 plays every possession ... example, the tunnel/bubble screen to Coleman when we haven't given the defense a look to keep the LB/Safety back and we lost 2 yards on that play ... how fricking dumb do you have to be to run that play when you haven't shown the ability to punish the defensive aggression with a downfield or deep middle shot ...
When we punted on their like 35 ... that proves even more that Drink has no concept of playcalling. Throw a deep middle shot and 3 things can happen:
1. It gets caught
2. It gets picked
3. You get a PI flag
You probably give them worse field position than the punter who kicked it into the endzone by 5 yards and put them back on the 20 ...
If the offense looks like this in 2026 ... I might be done with Mizzou football again (like Woody/Stull) until we get an actual football guy back in the head coaching role ... don't care if it's another G4/5 guy as long as he played the game ...
Army (or Navy) would have beaten us by 2+ TDS ...
