Coach O was always one of my favorites. Agree 100% with his take here

An LSU homer saying LSU homer things. Im shocked. Ironically supports a team who was the first two loss team allowed into the two team BCS. How ironic his take is...LOL! Ask him did LSU "deserve" to play for the title in 07 under a system that NEVER allowed a two loss team in to the title game. I'd love to hear mumble's answer.

Same guy who tried to use covid as an excuse to not play Alabama in 2020 doesn't want to see Alabama in the playoffs.

Cites "3 loss team" without a hint to strength of schedule or any other criteria to justify the bias.

Then goes even dumber to pretend like a single month of recruiting is somehow the most important thing ever, and that Lane should give up what could be his only opportunity in life to coach a playoff game due to an extra bit of recruiting.

In reality, it's not even remotely that big of a deal. Getting the right coach is the big deal. What has LSU actually gained thus far - nothing, they actually lost HS recruits. Maybe they would have lost them anyway, but it's not like Lane came in and suddenly brought in everything else.

So now we wait for transfers to start with the hopes Lane will have a great transfer class. Ok, lets assume he does - what does it really matter - a few extra transfer recruits?

Meanwhile, the entire thing has damaged Lanes legacy and reputation which had been working to rebuild. Nobody will ever trust the guy in recruiting. While if he had stayed and LSU had just waited patiently he would be a coach that had coached in playoff games, done things the right way and waited until after the season was over his reputation in general is much better, making him a more appealing coach to recruits for the future.

And it was traded in for a few extra transfers in the first class? I hope this short sighted ego driven shite continues.

Same guy who beat Alabama’s greatest team of all-time in their house in front of a sitting US President

If he was so great you wouldn't need to make shite up and try to overstate the Alabama team he beat.

They won it that year...so obviously the system was right...

also as much as I hate to say it LSU and Bama were the best teams in 2011.
