What about this idea for CFP?

Expanding on a response I made to Darth_Vader's post, if we selected the 6 best conference championship matchups and paired them with a play-in bracket of the best 12 teams not in championship matchups, we would get the following first round games if we seeded based on the latest CFP rankings.
(1) OH State/Indy vs Miami/Texas (12)
(2) Georgia/Bama vs Notre Dame/Vandy (11)
(3) TX Tech/BYU vs Oklahoma/Utah (10)
(4) VA/Duke vs A&M/USC (9)
(5) Tulane/N. TX vs Ole Miss/Arizona (8)
(6) JMU/Troy vs Oregon/Michigan (7)
It retains the conference championships, which I think are important, and creates fairness since everybody plays. It also gives all top 20 teams in the latest CFP rankings a chance to win it all, and I don't think anyone would object to adding these 6 games to the weekend slate.
