Two things…Vanderbilt has like a 100K+ avg NIL player total. For comparison, Mississippi State is 24K…that’s insane.
Two, CFB is gay AF. WTF has happened to our sport?

It’s on life support like NASCAR.

Only 1 team can win it all but 10-15 teams spend like they are going to win it all.
How long before the boosters stop ponying up the huge dollars. There’s got to be a point where that happens.
The NFL has to be loving free minor league football even more than ever.

Facilities are going to suffer long term. Most SEC schools overhauled facilities just before the NIL era. The money has to come from somewhere.
Teams will be sporting Emirates Airlines or Qatar Airways jerseys before long.

If those NIL totals remain consistent, Vandy has overtaken, Ole Miss, Mizzou, MSU, Arkansas, USC, Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky based on recent numbers. Vandy is about to become the new Auburn or Tennessee in CFB. Their endowment is enormous. If players can stomach playing in front of 38,000 people, they are about to become regulars in the playoff discussion. This is just the beginning based on money being spent. Vandy is a big threat to everyone.

Actually I think it's the opposite because the players are no longer being developed as well now and the game is being dumbed down as a result.
Probably helps weed out the players who can't handle money and flame out when paid.

Football at all levels has went down. Watching my grandson play high school was hard as no one wraps up when tackling or shows any hustle. Asked him why they can’t tackle well and he said the rules don’t allow contact after games and they don’t do aggressive tackling drills like we did back in the day. Can see the same in college and pros with body tackles and lack of effort. I wish this NIL and transfer thing was fixed.

Has anyone bought a product because there was a college player in an ad?
Warby Parker glasses and Arch Manning is the only one I even remember...mainly because of the jokes.
