We made a good hire with LK when the white smoke came billowing out of Ventress Hall.
1. We got six years out of him. Way longer than anyone in the conference including ourselves thought.
2. Were are now a strong recognized brand nationally way more than I thought was possible at the first of the hire.
3. Enjoyed a lot of winning
4. The fanbase and structure of our collective realized their potential as a financial force in this war that is the SEC. Ole Miss can absolutely compete on NIL and taking care of assistant coaches and their families.
5. I used to pull for y'all a little bit as my second favorite team but that is fricked up as we all know. Now I hate ya guts like I should.

Down to earth thread. It was either LSU now or UT/Bama in '26 or '27.

Looking at his resume, it's kind of odd that he has this reputation as someone who's constantly jumping around.
Originally at USC in varying assistant positions for 6 years
Left to become the head coach of the Raiders. Fired after a year and a half, so didn't leave on his own accord.
Was at Tennessee for 1 season, this was his "most egregious" departure.
Was at USC for roughly 4 years, until fired.
At Bama for 3 years until he was fired/quit to become a head coach again.
3 years at FAU.
6 years at Ole Miss.
Outside of Tennessee to USC, there aren't really any crazy moves there but he has that reputation. Weird.

Hot take: Y'all eat him up. And make it delicious like yall do every other living creature in the bayou. He won’t be able to take da heat in da kitchen.
