Shallow crossing routes?

I’m no X’s and O’s expert, but it seems to me our offense has no answer when teams start to blitz. (2nd half vs Missouri, last night against Auburn).
I rarely see receivers running crossing routes 5-10 yards down the field, looks more like a lot of long vertical or deep routes and 1 check down.
Am I missing something?

Every defense is sitting on the short and we're trying to expose them by getting behind them.
