ACC will be left out of playoff if Duke beats VA in the ACCCG?

Crazy stuff. But if Cal holds on to beat SMU and an 8-5 Duke wins the ACC the ACC will be out of the playoff.

Also Dan Mullen has a slim chance to make the playoff now if they win the Mountain West. The committee probably takes James Madison if they win their conference but UNLV would have an argument or be in if JM loses.

Mullen is perfect for a school like UNLV. I don't care one way or the other about UNLV but the narrative that we made a mistake letting Mullen go is tiring and will only be furthered by his success there.
