When I was a young boy in the 60s The aggy corp would march down Congress Ave. to the Capitol building when games were in Austin.

Are they doing it today?

I believe so. 2400 Corps of Cadets and Calvary will follow band. Starting at Congress/7th? Did it last trip in just before cold front blasted in. Nice turnout

My lazy arse thunk it up enough to do a search.
Yes, Corp will be marching. If you're in the Austin area and haven't experienced this, it's worth it once. The Cavalry and horses is what I remeber most from long ago, but I was a young boy then. That and Texas kicking AGGY arse for a decade or more.

from search,
Yes, the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets is marching in downtown Austin today, Friday, November 28, 2025. The march-in is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will feature more than 2,400 members of the Corps of Cadets, the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, Texas A&M’s mascot Reveille X, and the Parsons Mounted Cavalry.

not to argue, but the review stand is at 7th and Congress. In the past the march starts at the Congress ave. bridge over the river.

edit,
I truly admit this is a Neat-O part of the rivalry returning.
Austin gets the pageantry of the Corp, band, and horse cavalry. Aggy gets out of their burg and visits the big city.

Don’t worry we’ve had special training on how not to step on the crack heads and meth addicts as we march through Austin. We will be very careful not to step on any relatives.

Aggie only has 2400 members in the Corps? Even the lowly Citadel has 2300 in theirs.

Not throwing shade, I just always thought there were more at A&M.

I don't blame you for thinking that. TV cameras at the games are constantly pointed at the Cadets sitting together. In reality only about 2% of the 102,000+ in the stadium are Cadets/Band. You would never know that by watching a game on TV.

Less than 3% of the total student body.

You know aggies lie all the time, right?

The only way to know for sure, and that's to count em. But they won't stand still. It's like trying to count red ants. Zagging in and out all the time.

Poor aggies

It's a fact. Don't worry though... they will come in talking shite about the record from 1902 to 1951 and dominating. Then will turn around and say their lopsided record of losing to Vandy back then happened a long time ago so it doesn't matter.

That is the absolute truth

“We own you from the days of model t’s”!!!!

“Games played against Vanderbilt back then don’t count!!”

Vandy is our daddy by 3 games.

Texas is A&M's daddy by 40.

Here’s the truth. As far as actual advantage, long term WL record means very little compared to the actual current season WL record.

Most people (players and recruits included) are way more influenced by what has happened in recent memory versus what has happened before we were all born. I mean it’s good for marketing T shirts, but that’s about it.

Texas’s 3 losses this season and 4th if they lose means WAY more to recruits than history of the teams.

What they actually are comparing are the winning records of the coaches at the schools. So far Elko is 23-5. Total WL record.

Interestingly enough that’s the exact same record Sark has had over the same period at Texas (we won’t count the Big12 years because if you did that the percentage isn’t close)

Out of our last 20 trips to College Station we’ve kicked their arse 11 times

It’s a rivalry for a reason.
