The current coaching positions at Auburn, LSU, Florida and Arkansas are more likely to produce more overall failure than success.

In other words, with a new 9 game conference schedule, only one of these programs will end up with a coach that will hit the 10 win mark anytime soon. The others will want to fire their coaches for going 7-5 or even 8-4.

Going to a 9 game conference schedule also reduced the odds of an SEC school winning the Natty by about 17%.

Was Sankey looking out for the best interests of the SEC or ESPN ??

At some point SEC fans in general are going to realize that we have all been bent over by Sankey and ESPN.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame just finished shopping around for an easy target...

LINK

Notre Dame knows darn well that any of those four SEC schools are going to struggle for the foreseeable future.

Schools are not in this conference to win. They're in it to bank.

In the college game, yes. But since the game is becoming NFL lite, take a look at the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. Two franchises owned by horrible owners and they are worth billions. TV sells no matter the product on the field

Sankey is looking out for the best financial interest of himself and the best financial interests of the SEC.

Perhaps a few like Kentucky and Vandy, but paying tens of millions of dollars to buy out mediocre coaching performances doesn't align with your perspective.

Fan pressure is a lot different than admin pressure. Fans want to win. Admin want the pay day. If a coach doesn’t work out, they spend ing a lot of money but the overall product is still making money, especially in the south. Television deals have entirely changed the landscape. Money keeps rolling in regardless of a how a team is doing. Auburn still sells out their games. Winning makes more money but nobody is “losing” per se.
