The new look Lady Razorbacks basketball put up a win over La. Tech in their opening game of the season.

Tech, obviously, has fallen way off from their legendary status but it is still a nice win. A lot of teams played rent a wins but La. Tech is a fairly solid mid tier school. Not a bad win for a team at the start of a major rebuild.

A tip of the hat to Bonnie Deas, a freshman player from Melbourne Australia. She has a ton of experience at the U20 international level, including leading Australia to an Asian Cup championship over China. Deas even plays in Australia's professional league... albeit as an amateur so she doesn't get paid.

It is still going to be a rough season for us, the SEC is insanely good in WBB and we have a fairly major talent and culture rebuild after 8 years with Mike Neighbors.

Yep. Started off colder than a banker's heart and then out scored them by 27 the rest of the way. We have some firepower on the team, but it might take a while to get them in sync.

Enough girls basketball talent in state to be successful. Can't let the top programs come in and cherry-pick top talent. Maybe then we can get back to competing.
