He absolutely would. If he can take K-State from literally the worst team in college football history to almost the national championship, he can douse the fires in the Bayou.

Ok seriously. He's really too old. But if he were young enough, he would still never coach at a school like LSU. They like drama too much and he's a no-nonsense kind of guy.
